A guy was asking random people on the street whether there’s a difference between fashion and style. Some hesitated, some were confident in their answers, but it got me wondering—do people truly understand the distinction?

For me, the difference is clear. Fashion is about knowing brands, trends, and how to incorporate them in an artistic way. It’s something that can be learned, studied, and mastered. Fashion is the industry, the designers, the labels, and the seasonal collections that shape what’s “in.”

Style, on the other hand, is personal. It’s creative, individualistic, and resourceful. Style is about using pieces in a way that makes them uniquely yours. You can’t steal style; it’s an expression of identity.

While people can be inspired by someone’s look, true style can never be fully replicated. And the secret ingredient to great style? Confidence.

When you blend fashion and style together, you get the ultimate duo. A true fashion enthusiast—or “fashionista”—not only knows their brands but also understands how to incorporate their personal style to make a statement.
